YAE! Camp is a 2-week, 10 day immersive experience designed to build confidence and empowerment for female, femme, non-binary identifying youth inside of typically male dominated Artistic spaces. YAE! provides mentorship for students ages 13-17. Participants who come from diverse, historically marginalized communities, and under-served low-income homes in Portland are given top priority in our scholarship program.

Our students come from all different levels of technique and experience in Visual Art and Dance. By the end of our program, campers will have completed a large scale mural on a city wall that remains on display year round. They also showcase a dance they’ve helped choreograph and participate in a freestyle/cypher/jam session with local dance Artists and participate in multiple workshops/lectures on other art forms such as (but not limited to) DJ-ing, embroidery and spoken word.
